You can get to know a city without a checklist of places to visit. You might pause outside a shop window, walk into a café because of the music coming through the door, or return to a street because the afternoon light changes it.

Stories is here to collect those discoveries. It starts where FriBitRadio does: London, Barcelona and Turin. Three cities seen through the places and people that bring them to life.

The place matters. So does what happens inside.

We are drawn to a café with a clear sense of character, a hotel that reflects its neighbourhood, an exhibition space that challenges how we think. A good photograph alone cannot tell their story. We want to understand why a place works, who imagined it and what it makes us want to do once we step inside.

Music is part of that way of looking. It can set the pace of an evening or sit quietly behind a conversation. Sometimes it is the detail that stays with us longer than the furniture.

A space worth filling carefully

You will find encounters, new openings and routes through the city here. Stories with an address, images that help you see and useful information to decide whether a place deserves a visit. When we have experienced something first-hand, we will say so. When a story begins with a recommendation, that will be clear too.

There is no rush to fill the calendar. We would rather come back with something worth sharing. In the meantime, the radio keeps playing.
